thank you Suzanne for this ... you really bring out "just living and being now, in the moment" ... i like the word "spontaneous" ... it's like facing each moment, holding onto nothing ... that is true trust, true faith in nothing we can hold onto in this world of structure and form ... i like robert browning's line "God is in His heaven - all is right with the world" ... :)

I think this is a timely post. The energy shifts and then the experience is different...but still just fine. I have felt things shift here various times and it all sort of fits into the picture. Right now I'm struggling, and have felt less presence here, and part of me wishes for the old, high-flying energy...Nothing is wrong is a good reminder; it's all just fine. It's the mind with its expectations and wanting to know how that can get in the way. So I will enjoy the lilacs that are here now!

The only thing is that God has been living in this house all along already, there is simply cleaning up to do, removing cobwebs and so on so we can see the house's true beauty and realize it has always been a palace.

Sue, I just saw your comment -- don't know how I missed it. WOW -- what a wonderful message you received from your Dad! That is beyond anything you could hope for, a message that not only was he not afraid, but he was *thrilled.* SO cool!

I can definitely relate to that. I think that might also be one of the good things with doing QiGong before meditation, because then you focus on what you do with your body and the breathing and you get more grounded into yourself.

Amen sister. We all need a little perspective shift like this that reminds us that some of the simplest things in life can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. We remember kindness and how it made us feel. Keep lighting the way! :D

Yeah, the transformation/healing process goes places I never knew existed--both enjoyable and not so enjoyable. But I would not trade it either.

Having worked with Michele myself, I can totally relate to the "slogging" and and "muck" you describe here. There are absolutely no words to describe what bubbles up after clearing out "that stuff". I would never trade my experiences with this process for anything! :)

I'm really glad that so many people have experiences like this. In those moments when they feel the presence of their loved one, they suspend all disbelief and simply enjoy the feeling, just as you did. It changes people. When my dad died, he conveyed to me such a tremendous sense of excitement. He had lived his life in fear of what he might find on the other side, but instead, he found something so much greater than he could have imagined. He literally conveyed to me that he was thrilled. How can you not be relieved to sense THAT? It brought me the peace I needed as well.

For me it had everything to do with getting back in my body, a phrase that didn't even mean anything to me when I started. How can you *not* be in your body? Well I wasn't. I was a jumble of thoughts focused somewhere else, all the time. After a few years of chakra and energetic structure work, I naturally started to settle back in - my attention was back within, not elsewhere. Being "present" eliminated the wandering day dreams and endless thinking.

Great article Yvonne - it's a good reminder that meditation is one of those things you really can't learn from a book or another person. It unfolds the longer you do it. I found for myself it was entirely tied to my ability to be present.

Great article Sharon! It just struck me while reading this, that the true definition of "play" does not include specified outcomes (I can't or it must or she will). Play is what happens when we're truly acting from our core and enjoying the moment and nothing more. If we alter this slightly and add expectations of an outcome, it's no longer truly "play". Needs and fears would cause us to move out of "play" and into (what would we call it?) contrived action? Hum... If we could do anything, maybe we'd choose to abandon the need for any outcome and let the magic of every moment reveal itself :D

Thank you! And yes, those voices can be insidious. When I wrote this article, I felt like I was getting a glimpse of myself that I hadn't seen before, and it was thrilling! Moments pass, things get rough, but that glimpse is something I can come back to, though I might struggle for a while first. I hope you've had glimpses like that.

Oh remember Sharon, I said you have the smile of an old and beautiful soul! I love how you've shown us in this story that WE are "the things that can be anything"! The only thing that can keep us from being anything we wish to be are the old, well-worn negative inner voices that say "I can't or I don't deserve, or I'm not good enough." Many go through life never even realizing that those voices only hold power when we allow them to. We are all free to create or not, to dance or be still. We all need to remember to find and treasure the joy in everything we do. Great story, my hat is off to you!

Indeed! I agree. I've seen a number of people just this past 10 days come to some kind of place where this symbolism seems very apropos for what's unfolding in their lives. It's exciting. As someone who has wielded the sword for a while now, I welcome the company of those who now pick up the sword themselves to realize what a tremendous experience it is, and of course by all that, I'm talking about brining the divine masculine back into balance. I hope you will consider doing project shadow self with us :)

Indeed! I agree. I’ve seen a number of people just this past 10 days come to some kind of place where this symbolism seems very apropos for what’s unfolding in their lives. It’s exciting. As someone who has wielded the sword for a while now, I welcome the company of those who now pick up the sword themselves to realize what a tremendous experience it is, and of course by all that, I’m talking about brining the divine masculine back into balance. I hope you will consider doing project shadow self with us :)

Phemonal article Suzanne...I write as I come out of hibernation; been two weeks and not over yet, but that's okay. You speak often of the sword, and now I know why. Amazing. I think of the sword as referenced in Scripture - the sword is equated to a word; a word is described as a two-edged sword, first applied to the writer then the hearer. It divides and ultimately a part becomes "conquered"; thus have always thought of the sword as being "divisive" - but could it be the cut is needed in order for the healing to begin? Who knows and time (even it is divided) will unfold and truth will rise. The divine, a word so similar to the divide ~~ how but one letter makes a difference.

Personally, I think the sword is currently being weilded on a lot of individuals; the cutting away of dross and stuff that has held us back; perhaps exposing and bringing to surface that feminine or masculine that has lay buried all these many days beneath the dross.
